Math geeks unite - it's PI day! And some of my food geek friends have put together a blog hop to celebrate the famous number sequence.
Pi is probably the most recognized mathematical constant known. Even those of us who aren't so great with numbers know that Pi = 3.14 and represents the ratio of diameter to circumference in any circle. Pi is a non-repeating, non-terminating number, and is used in many math formulas.
I am married to a math geek and the mother of another, and I'm an Accounting student myself, so I knew today would be a great day to have a little fun with lunch.
For the Dude:
It's Pi pie! Pi cherry pie, to be precise.
And leftover Pi pizza pie, too.
And also Pi egg-and-bacon pie (aka quiche).
Brick also has leftover boneless hot wings with celery and a wet-napkin, a mandarin orange, a kiwi, and a mini PI pie.
Now click the button to go to the next blog and see what Bento for Kidlet has going on!
And check out this link for some interesting facts about Pi, including the calculation of the number to the millionth digit.
Happy Pi Day!

Yummy! Great lunches. Is that orange from your tree? Love the leaves.
ReplyDeleteDon't I wish! I bought the mandarins with the stems and leaves attached at Trader Joe's. They looked so pretty with the greenery still intact.
